Waterhead of the week honors go to Brian after finishing 4th in the SportMod feature.

Scot started deep in the field in the Modified feature and worked his way up to finish 6th.

August 15, 2009
Scot used the high groove and raced to his second Modified feature win of the year. He started 4th and was leading the field by lap two. A couple of late cautions required Scot to hold off a hard charging BJ Baze but as the checkered flag waved, Scot had the edge by a car link.

Brian is still searching for that first win of the year. Another average night with a 9th place finish in the SportMod feature.

Scot earned Waterhead of the week. Scot finished 8th in the Modified Feature.

Brian had a good run going in the SportMod Feature. Started 6th and worked his way up to second and had a good battle going for the lead for several laps until a late caution came out with only 2 laps to go and bunched the field up. On the restart, Brian had a little help going into one of the turns which led to a spin and a pretty hard hit from a couple of other cars causing significant damage to the rearend and had to be taken off the track behind the wrecker. Brian earned Waterhead of the week. Brian started 8th in the SportMod feature and battled to a 3rd place finish (video).

Scot finished 7th in the Modifieds. Stan was involved in an early accident and finished 10th in the Novice Stocks.

This week, everyone was "Racin for Raney." Trevor Raney was involved in a serious car accident along with his best friend Alex. Both boys had multiple broken bones and spent several days in the hospital. GCS organized the fundraiser to help the families in this time of need. Scot drove to a 3rd place finish in the Modified Feature and this earned him Waterhead of the week.

Dusty and Brian finished 3rd and 8th respectively in the SportMod Feature (video). Chris finished 12th in the Hot Stocks and Stan finished 5th in the Novice Stocks. We hope to see Trevor back out on the track once his injuries have healed.

July 3-4, 2009
Dusty earned Waterhead of the week. Dusty finished 12th in Friday's qualifier so that's where he started for the 40 lap SportMod feature. He drove to a 3rd place finish.

Scot broke rearend gears during Friday's qualifier and as a result had to start towards the back of the field for the feature. Scot finished 17th in the 50 lap Modified feature. Brian finished 2nd in Friday's qualifier. The first 4 cars were inverted for the feature so Brian started 3rd. The first 20 laps were okay but the car went away during the last 20 laps and Brian finished 9th in the SportMod feature (video 1 video 2). Chris finished 4th in Friday's qualifier (video). The first 4 were inverted so this allowed Chris to start on the pole for the feature. Chris finished 8th in the Hot Stock feature.

Brian earned Waterhead of the week by finishing fifth in the SportMod Feature. Check out the video.

Scot finished 10th in the Modified Feature. The rest of the team did not make it to the track this week.

Trevor earned Waterhead of the week by finishing second in the Hot Stock Feature.

Scot missed the setup on the ultra dry slick conditions and finished 9th. Brian started 6th and finished 3rd in the SportMods. Stan came back after 2 weeks off and finished 6th in the Novice Stocks. Dusty and Chris did not race.

Scot is the Waterhead of the week. He couldn't be out done by his son Trevor so Scot followed up Trevor's win from last week with his first feature win of the year. I wasn't there to witness it but to hear Scot describe it, it sounded like he was on a mission.

Dusty followed up last week's top 5 finish with a solid 3rd place finish. Trevor and Chris had motor problems. Stan looks to be back next week. And Brian was on vacation.

Trevor is the Waterhead of the week. Trevor made a gutsy move with 2 laps to go that allowed him to pass two cars in one lap. That move earned Trevor his first Feature race of the year.

Scot finished 8th in the Modifieds.
Dusty and Brian finished 5th and 8th respectively in the SportMods. Chris and Stan took the week off.

May 30, 2009
Scot led the most laps in the Modified feature but got caught up in some lap traffic late in the race to finish 4th.

The SportMod feature was caution free. Dusty started 4th but was involved in a spinout on the last lap to finish 16th. Brian started 13th and made his way through traffic to finish 6th.

Chris had his car working good on the dry slick surface. Chris started 3rd and finished 3rd. Trevor had transmission problems and was unable to start the feature.

Stan discovered a problem with his oil pump and was unable to make repairs in time for the races.
